Decisions

We've made a few more general decisions related to the wedding:

- Australian honeymoon because Gunther wants to see and eat "funny animals."

- Daytime wedding, with a Saturday afternoon luncheon.

- Unless there are catering restrictions for our venue, we will have a buffet so people can eat what they like, and decide for themselves how much they want to eat.

- Goal guest count 100 people or less. <-- not sure yet how feasible this is

- Candy for everyone to take home.

- Live music because Gunther finds wedding DJs creepy.

- Open bar. Of course.

- Vivien will make most aesthetic decisions because she's the one that realizes a love for tan M&Ms is not enough to make them suitable wedding favors.

Shhh! Don't destroy my fantasies! There's a chance that not every uncle, aunt, cousin, spouse, godmother, godfather, dad's classmates, mother's coworkers . . . will show up!

I agree about wedding DJ's and I think M&M's are a fine favor. But then again, I have a feeling my wedding is going to be covered by the show "My big redneck wedding".

As for the 100 people rule...I don't have to eat at the reception...I will just break into other people's party favors...

Oh...Australia! Aren't there really, really enormous bugs out there? Try Iceland instead...natural springs and really good yogurts and cheese. But that is just my 2 pennies worth.

I think M&Ms are a good favor. We're actually thinking of giving out M&Ms or jelly beans in little boxes. I just don't want to pass out tan ones because Gunther wanted to use them as an excuse to have a tan-themed wedding.

100 people encompasses close family and must-have friends, which includes you and Chris. I'm not sure how many people my parents want to invite but I'm hoping the people I know don't get outnumbered by distant relatives.

Iceland sounds great. I actually don't care much about the honeymoon destination - I'd be happy with something closer - but I'm letting Gunther plan the trip so he can have input on things.
